Een halloween special! Cartman heeft gespijbeld van school maar verschijnt wel bij de bushalte met een ringbaardje. Hij gedraagt zich vreemd, ineens erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hij beweerd voor zijn moeder gezorgd te hebben die griep heeft. Even later wanneer Stan en Kyle een pompoen gaan kopen met Cartman, heeft hij geen ringbaardje meer en gedraagt hij zich weer zoals altijd.
Wanneer Stan thuis komt, krijgt hij te horen dat zijn tante Flo op bezoek is en een goudvis voor hem heeft meegenomen. Stan vindt het beest niks omdat hij hem steeds blijft aanstaren, maar moet de vis toch van zijn moeder op zijn kamer zetten. 's Nachts begint de vis kwaadaardige boodschappen te schrijven en verschijnen er allemaal onbekende lijken in de slaapkamer van Stan. Zijn moeder denkt dat Stan deze mensen vermoord heeft en begraaft de lijken in de tuin.
Wanneer Stan, Kyle en Kenny erachter komen dat de verschillende Cartmans eigenlijk twee verschillende personen zijn, concludeert Chef dat de Cartman met het ringbaardje uit een parallel universum komt, waar iedereen een kwaadaardige dubbelganger heeft. De jongens realiseren zich dat de goudvis van Stan ook uit dit universum moet komen en gaan op onderzoek uit.
